Requirements Analyst


Job description:

NETE is looking for talented and experienced Systems Analyst to join our Web services team. NETE is a 30+ person team with a team-based approach to growth.

Responsibilities:
Candidate will perform expert analysis and systems design for a variety of complex applications under limited supervision. Specifically, his duties will include, but are not limited to

  1. Analyzing and evaluating existing or proposed systems and designing complex computer systems to process data.

  2. Analyzing procedures and systems to refine their formulation and converting to programmable formats.

  3. Work with requirements management, including requirements gathering, analysis, baselining, and change management.

  4. Writing or updating software specifications.

  5. Creating logical data models based on functional requirements.

  6. Performing quality assurance review of specifications for internal and external delivery.

  7. Developing analytical tools for use in the design and redesign of systems.

  8. Analyzing detail systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and reliability requirements.

  9. Coordinating with client to define problem, determine data availability, report requirements, and resolve system design problems.

  10. Providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

  11. Maintaining current knowledge of the relevant technologies as assigned.

  12. Participating in special projects as required.

  13. Performing additional duties as assigned.

As with any similar position at this level, the usual minimum requirement for performance of the job duties is a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Job Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 5 years experience. A Master’s degree may be substituted for some years of experience; this position also requires advanced knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in the business systems analysis and design.  Proficiency in the use of one or more specific knowledge’s may be required, depending on job assignment.  Professional certifications may be required.  Must be able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both oral and written, and interpret regulatory guidance and identified vulnerabilities to a wide audience. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills required. Ability to manage multiple ad-hoc projects simultaneously and to work in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment; Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
