Job description:
NETE is looking for an experienced and analytical Quality Assurance (QA)
Tester with strong Web site and applications testing background to join our
commercial Web services team. NETE is a 50+ person fast growing and
profitable company with a team-based approach to growth. Our Web Services team
produces world-class web sites and interactive solutions for the desktop,
online and print media.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for all pre-launch website testing and QAing sites that
have been updated for maintenance (20+ different client Web site updates
performed on an average daily basis). The QA Tester will be responsible for
checking Website URLs and Web page coding for accuracy, completeness and
adherence to design. Prior to Web site launch, the QA Tester will provide the
final go/no-go determination based on expected launch success rate. You will be
required to work projects in a collaborative distributed environment with
designers, developers, creative directors, and client project/account managers.
Required Skills:
1-2 years related Web QA/testing experience. Hands-On knowledge of HTML,
JavaScript, CSS, Dreamweaver required. Some ColdFusion or ASP, and PhotoShop
experience highly desired. Eye for detail, intimate familiarity with testing
for industry Web standards compliant sites such as W3C, and good
time-management abilities are the key for this position. Strong interpersonal
skills required to communicate testing issues with clients and internal
development team members. The ability to prioritize and multi-task
successfully.
Strongly Desired Skills:
You should ideally have experience and understanding of Web site information
architecture, navigation and content strategy, creative design, maintenance of
existing websites, and working closely with Web software developers and
designers in a large distributed fast paced development environment using
automated workflow and project management/collaboration tools.
