By definition, CPIC requires integration of several enterprise-level management processes to include Planning, Budgeting, Acquisition, and Management-in-use. The ability to achieve the objectives of CPIC as envisioned in the Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA) requires relative parity of maturity across the interdependent management processes.
The relative maturity of these interdependent processes must be explicitly managed so that management expectations do not outpace the ability to deliver.
